Good to see Daisy being sweet again! I was starting to really not like that girl. She's acting like she's still 15 when really, she must be what, like 30?
For some reason, I got heart pangs during Anna and Mary’s conversation about whether Talbot is good for her or not. I sympathize with Mary wondering if things could really work out. And if there is one thing I have learned from all these suitors is that Matthew and Mary were epic. None of these other guys even comes close.
And this episode had all the feels for Mary! I'm so sad for Mary and, quite frankly, mad at Henry for putting her in a situation where people were being dangerous in cars. It’s not fittin’. It broke my heart to see her break up with him, but I do think she should stick with that decision. Which means: EVELYN. NAPIER. You heard it here first. They didn’t bring him back for that one minute scene in that one episode for nothing!
Good to see some quality verbal sparring with Violet and Dickie Merton’s fiancée. Love it. (Are we sure that this is the first time we’ve heard Violet say “crookshanks?” Did she ever say it as McGonagall in HP?) It's also good to see Violet and Isobel friends again, even if Violet is leaving to go sulk in the French Riviera.
It's so gratifying to see Mr. Molesly go on to bigger things. Meanwhile, this show has filled the sad-sack void left by Molesly, with Thomas. Poor Thomas.
I really, really, really like Edith’s beau. Can’t remember his name, but he is awesome. Bertie? That's it. He's the greatest voice of reason on this show since Branson.
Did you guys get the “next week on” teaser? IT LOOKS AMAZING. That’s the show I remember!
